268 Challenge – Day 22
Isaiah 12:6 – Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst!
Word(s) to remember
cry out – to gleam cheerfully, bellow
shout – sing, rejoice, shout or cry aloud, to overcome
God described –
Great – great in intensity and importance
Holy One – sacred, Holy, set apart from all others
Thoughts – Excited praise, not fake, disingenuous but real, from the heart praise, worship and adoration that transcends music.
“Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst!”
As I read this and examine my own life and walk with Christ I ask myself the hard questions, Is there something in MY worship that is lacking? Is it genuine? Is it half-hearted?
Sometimes man just want to get it over with. But God wants us to come to Him with All that is within me and bless His Holy Name. So I say to myself Wake up heart! The Great and Holy One of Israel, the God of MY salvation is here. He is in your midst. He is here with me. This alone is reason to give Him praise. It occurs to me that, as a musician that the greatest instrument that can be used for worship and praise of our Great and Holy God is our mouth, lifting up our voices and filling our mouths with the praise of the Lord and shouting it out to the whole world.
