268 Challenge – Day 18
Psalm 47:1 – Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph!
Word to remember – Shout – Shout, to raise a sound, a war cry, to signal a sound for war. I like this!
Thoughts – Shouting, a war cry is great for us when we go to a football game or baseball game. But if we were to shout out a battle cry or cry out in triumph in church, immediately we would have a scandal.
Ponder this, our thankfulness to a good and loving God should be immediate. It should be instinctive.
God had delivered the believer, us, you, me. In light of this truth, it should not be necessary to have to tell people to shout to the Lord. Are we grateful for all that He had done for us? Will we be the 1 who returns after His healing power has cleansed us and show our gratitude?
Shout it out! Clap your hands! Raise your voice with the sound of TRIUMPH!
The 268 challenge is based on Isaiah 26:8 – Yes, in the way of Your judgments, O Lord, we have waited for You; The desire of our soul is for Your name and for the remembrance of You. The “desire” of our soul is for your name. We long for Him, to remember Him and all that He has promised.
Here’s how we do it. Journal everything. Read the selected passage. Pick out a word that stands out to you and think about it.
Later in the day, read the passage again and think about it. Define your word. What does the word that you picked out mean and how does it pertain to this passage.
Again, come back to this a third time in your day, typically after dinner. Read the passage. Think about your definition of that same word. Think, What does it mean for me? How does it apply to my life right now? How can I practice this right now?
