22. The Book of Romans

Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. Can you imagine what people hear when Paul says this? Are you saying that the 10 Commandments are no good anymore? Are you saying that we don’t need God’s law? No, that is not what Paul is saying. Obedience to the law for the believer is no longer the basis for our relationship with God.

Your law keeping is no longer the basis for relationship. The law is not abolished. It still reflects God’s standard. It shows us that we need a Savior. The law is still valuable but it is not the basis of relationship.
