A Church in the City – 1st Corinthians – part 10
The Corinthian culture was one that was steeped in paganism. The majority of the meat there was offered to one of the 100’s of gods in a sacrifice. The fat would be burned and some of the meat was eaten by the priest. Some would then be sent home with the worshiper and the rest was sold in a butcher shop. But some was even cooked or sold in a restaurant type setting.
