The tragedy of Israel’s sin or frankly our as well, wasn’t so much that they stumbled. Israel didn’t respond to God’s rebuke when they stumbled. Physical adultery. Spiritual adultery. All sorts of sexual immorality. Worshiping idols. This is the picture of Israel. They were completely defiled.
